Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association Cites Kanemoto’s Commitment to Technical Excellence and Community Support
HONOLULU, HI – FEBRUARY, 2006 – Nelson Kanemoto, the President and CEO of Referentia Systems, was presented with Executive of the Month honors today by the Hawaii chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA). Citing Kanemoto’s frequent participation in charity and community events, the rapid but measured growth of his company and the leadership role he plays in the local tech industry, along with his focus on technical excellence in delivering innovative solutions, AFCEA recognized Kanemoto as an exemplary corporate citizen among Hawaii’s local defense and dual use companies.

I am very appreciative of the award and of the great team we have at Referentia.” Kanemoto, who holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Hawaii, had been previously honored as one of the state’s top software industry executives in the 2000 Targeted Industry Growth Report (TIGR) awards for Hawaii. Kanemoto founded Referentia Systems nearly 10 years ago, in 1996, and has been at the helm ever since.
